This series is about my son Arsenii, about his experience of isolation from the world and friends.
Our family left England when the borders between countries began to close. We painted to stay alone without a dad and decided to go home together to Russia.
Arsenii is 10 years, his school friends remained in London, also in quarantine. The load decreased and relaxation first appeared. Then the mood began to change in the negative direction and there was a fear of being alone forever, afraid to go out and touch objects. We turned off the TV as soon as the news about the coronavirus started and watched movies. It was hard for me to see him like that - he was like a ball, moving from one wall to another and lingering only in front of the window. The thirst for new impressions, movements intensified. Just the thought that now all the children are hidden from each other calmed him. I asked him to work with me and come up with images to express what he feels and what he wants. We took this series of shots with him and for him. That negative thoughts receded and we found a way out.
