Xenia Fedorova
A multidiciplinary visual artist, photographer
Xenia Fedorova explores the themes of memory, time, heritage, and loss.
Based in London. Originally from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Reconstructing own traumatic experience and personal stories, she reinterprets the concept of 'subjective representation'. Through mediums of photography, collage art, graphics, walking practice, and installation the ideas are becoming art objects.
Photography is paradoxical in that it allows the absent to be present. This allows you to feel the limits of the real, to feel like a link between the past and the future, to realize the value of any moment, and at the same time the infinity of the past, as long as it is reflected in memory.

Фотограф, психолог и художник из Санкт-Петербурга исследует темы памяти, времени, наследия и утраты.
Реконструируя собственный травматичный опыт и личные истории героев, автор переосмысляет понятие 'субъектной представленности' в своих работах. Фотография парадоксальна в том, что позволяет присутствовать отсутствующему. Это позволяет почувствовать пределы реального, ощутить себя звеном между прошлым и будущим, осознавать ценность любого момента и в то же время бесконечность ушедшего, пока оно отражено в памяти.
Работает с архивными фотографиями, коллажами, графикой.
