PHOTOBOOK AWARD EI 2022
Galeria do Paço UMinho, Braga, Portugal.

International Photography and Visual Arts Festival

The book "After Winter" has been selected as a recipient of an Honorable mention in the Photobook Award EI2022
The book was presented in the collective exhibition of photobooks and became a part of the public library of photography books in the Galeria da Estação.

The authors of the exhibition focus on the family and what happens to it in the 21st century, when the boundaries between the private and the public are blurred, stereotypes are broken and gender roles become more complicated. The projects presented at the exhibition highlight several important aspects of this theme: the reworking of family heritage and an attempt to give new life to grandmother's things; "translation difficulties" in different family generations; the experience of motherhood, which is nominally, but not in fact, a social value; the narrowness of the gender framework in the patriarchal family and not only.

'Family Portrait'
Academia Fotografika Gallery, St.-Petersburg, Russia
curator- Ekaterina Bogachevskaya
Co-curator: Asya Bobritskaya
Architect: Gulnara Barysheva
The family is undoubtedly one of the most important components of human life. But often we strive to idealize this concept, making visible only the "front side" of the family portrait. The exhibition presents personal projects of young authors, addressed to the theme of the family and touching on its various aspects. Stories about love, acceptance and forgiveness. About the connection of generations and the search for oneself. About memory and forgetting. About violence. Many of the authors in their projects show the "reverse side" of the family portrait, which is not customary to talk about. But at the same time, all the stories are gathered together into a voluminous and multi-layered statement about the family, sincere and not leaving indifferent.
Exhibitors: Maria Alekseeva, Ekaterina Arkhangelskaya, Marina Belaya, Evgenia Valla, Alyona Vnutskikh, Lyubov Volkova, Irina Heinz, Nikon Gerasimenko, Anna Gorozhanova, Lena Kalyuzhnaya, Victoria Kovshikova, Elena Liventseva, Natalia Lozinskaya, Olya Matveeva, Alla Mirzai, Alexandra Mikhailova , Karen Mnatsakanyan, Elizaveta Mukhina, Veronika Oksenchuk, Anna Reznikov, Natalia Rutova, Olesya Sadretdinova, Natalia Tikhomirova, Ksenia Fedorova, Olga Kholodnaya, Lisa Chekalina, Anastasia Chistyakova

HOME MUSEUM
For its eleventh edition, LagosPhoto Festival turns its gaze to the burning political, civic and aesthetic ramifications of restitution. With Rapid Response Restitution, LagosPhoto20 embraces the potential for a decolonial "citizens' history". Home Museum is a model for a new kind of citizens' institution, one in which each member of society can contribute to the collective perception of cultural values, and address questions of restitution directly and without delay. Achieved through the democratic medium of photography, LagosPhoto Festival has created a digital Home Museum with over two hundred participants from the African continent, the US, South America, China, Russia, and Europe.
